Our distributions around Kenya are carefully designed to harness the power of zakat: we want to not only help people in poverty today, but support them to escape poverty for good.

We do this by ensuring that our application process is thorough so as to identify the most suitable way to assist our applicants who come from different backgrounds.

All selected beneficiaries are taken through a short but exhaustive training where qualified instructors guide them through short courses on entrepreneurship, book keeping, saving and marketing.

They are also taught psychology and Islamic business ethics. The course also includes vocational training where applicants learn practical income generating skills such as soap making, beadwork and baking.

How we Help.

Empowerment

Assisting applicants in establishing small businesses to enable them to become self-reliant.

Education

Providing bursaries for students who cannot afford to pay tuition fees in public secondary schools, colleges and universities.

Welfare

Efforts designed to promote the basic physical and material well-being of people in need.

Medical

Catering for treatment and medication payments for Muslims living in poverty ensuring that they can access quality health care.

We continually experiment. We fail quickly and productively. We use data and feedback to guide our course.
