Medical Fund
THE PROPHET (ﷺ) SAID: “THERE ARE TWO BLESSINGS THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE DECEIVED INTO LOSING: HEALTH AND FREE TIME.” [BUKHARI, VOL. 4, p. 222, HADITH 6412]
From an Islamic perspective health is viewed as one of the greatest blessings that God has bestowed on mankind. It should be noted that the greatest blessing after belief is health, as narrated in the following Hadith:
The final messenger of God, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mounted the pulpit, then wept and said, “Ask Allah (swt) for forgiveness and health, for after being granted certainty, one is given nothing better than health.” Related in Tirmidhi.
We established our Medical Fund to cater for treatment and medication payments for Muslims living in poverty. Ensuring that lack of funds do not block them for accessing quality healthcare.
Alhamdulillah, in 2023 Kenya shillings 2,755,731 was spent on medical related cases to benefit 61 beneficiaries. These expenses include simple medical examinations such as MRI scans and X-ray to life saving operations, dialysis and cancer treatments.
The believers, both men and women, are guardians of one another. They encourage good and forbid evil, establish prayer and pay alms-tax (zakat), and obey Allah and His Messenger. It is they who will be shown Allah’s mercy. Surely Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.
